UPDATE (January 9, 2012) - The Bylaw adopting the Proposed IDP was given Second and Third Reading by City of Calgary Council. Amendments to the IDP were made creating a Policy Review Area on lands adjacent to The Town of Chestermere. Rocky View County will next consider Third Reading of their adopting bylaw.
UPDATE (December 5, 2011) - City of Calgary Council tabled further consideration of the IDP to January 9, 2012 to allow for intermunicipal discussion between Calgary and Rocky View.
UPDATE (November 7, 2011) - City of Calgary Council held a Public Hearing on November 7, 2011. After the public hearing was closed , the item was tabled to the December 5, 2011 Combined Meeting of Council pending further intermunicipal discussion.
UPDATE (November 1, 2011) - Rocky View County Council has given Second Reading to the proposed IDP at their November 1, 2011. The plan will return for further consideration at a later date pending the City of Calgary’s public hearing.
UPDATE (September 12, 2011) - City of Calgary Council has tabled the Public Hearing and consideration of the item to the November 7, 2011 Combined Meeting of Council.
UPDATE (September 6, 2011) – Rocky View County Council has postponed their consideration of the IDP until the November 1, 2011 Council Meeting.
A proposed version of an updated Intermunicipal Development Plan 
(6.5 MB) has been prepared by Rocky View County and The City of Calgary. This version will now go forward for consideration by both Municipal Councils. Prior to considering the IDP, both Councils will hold a public hearing. Public hearings are scheduled as follows:
- Rocky View County – Tuesday, September 6, 2011
- City of Calgary – Monday, September 12, 2011
